Overview
A Chosen is a mortal selected by a god to serve as their representative in the world. Each god may have only one Chosen at a time. The Chosen typically acts as their patron's voice, champion, and agent among the living. They carrying out their god's will, spreading their faith, and intervene in mortal affairs on their behalf.
Gods may select Chosen entirely at their own discretion.

What It Means to Be Chosen
A Chosen remains mortal. They are subject to death, injury, and the full weight of mortal life. However, they receive the direct attention and support of a divine being. Gods communicate with their Chosen through dreams, visions, omens, and occasional direct contact. A Chosen may be granted enhanced abilities, divine gifts, or access to knowledge unavailable to ordinary mortals. The nature of these gifts varies by god.
The role is dangerous. A Chosen operates at the intersection of mortal politics and divine will, which tends to attract enemies. Those who oppose a god have every reason to target their Chosen first. If a Chosen dies, the god may select another, but there is no guarantee they will do so quickly.
Known Chosen

Kallix Erendwain and Jard Stonebrook were both Chosen by Seluna during the events leading to the Winterheart Massacre; an unusual case of two Chosen being appointed simultaneously. Vandun's Chosen transcribed his teachings into the Book of Prophecy before perishing. Veladriel herself was the Chosen of Varos before ascending to godhood in her own right. Ravielle Riversong was Remedia's Chosen for 500 years.
